Multidisciplinary Design Optimization (MDO) for Aerospace Vehicles

Modern aerospace vehicles cannot be designed by optimizing each subsystem independently. Aerodynamics affects propulsion, propulsion affects structures, structures affect weight, and weight directly influences vehicle performance.

Multidisciplinary Design Optimization (MDO) provides a systematic engineering framework to integrate these disciplines and identify an optimized aerospace vehicle design.

This webinar introduces students, engineers, researchers, and aerospace enthusiasts to the fundamentals and practical applications of MDO in aircraft, UAVs, launch vehicles, rockets, and other aerospace systems

🏆 Why Learn MDO?

The aerospace industry increasingly relies on simulation-driven and optimization-driven design to develop lighter, safer, more efficient, and higher-performing vehicles.

Learning MDO helps engineers move from:

“Design → Analyze → Modify”

to:

“Model → Integrate → Optimize → Evaluate → Select.”

This systems-level approach is highly relevant to the future of aircraft, UAV, rockets, launch vehicles, and space transportation systems.
